Tree as guest of honor all week
The inauguration of the Tree Festival organized by the Hauts-de-France Region took place at the Bois de Cise in Ault last Saturday. The association “Vivre le Bois de Cise”proposed a discovery trip on the theme “Le Bois de Cise: colors of autumn”. A second promenade will take place this Wednesday, November 23 at 10 am from the Sainte Edith chapel.
At the same time, the cultural association Les Cise’Arts has set up a photo contest for adults on the theme of “The Unusual Tree” until November 30th. The best shot will be rewarded with a shrub. All photos will be displayed at the Ault Tourist Office until December.
New ecosystem
As for the ASA-Bois de Cise, it proceeded to the implantation, place Saint-Georges, of a Butterflie-tree , an orange-flower from two insect hotels and two birdhouses. The trees were funded by the festive-committee, the insect hotels by the tourism office and a voluntary member of the ASA manufactured nestboxes .
This will create a new ecosystem following redevelopment of this place. Two panels, one on the daffodils and the other on the fauna, will complete the whole.
The closing ceremony of the festival will take place on Saturday 26 November, at 11 am, in the kindergarten Les Lutins.
